The current weather is only good for Eagles doing some fishing. With warmer than normal temperatures lingering the present erratic weather has led our organizers to make an early decision to postpone all Wally Ice Fest events. Therefore, we are electing to move to a backup date of February 9th and 10th, 2019. We felt it was important to make an early decision so everyone could plan accordingly.
We don’t expect any other changes to this backup date; we do have the option of utilizing a smaller backup lake at Promised Land State Park (9 miles south of the Lake Wallenpaupack) on this same date in February.
We hope you’ll join us! We are all ready to go with boards, heated-tent, prizes, entertainment, and so much more! The rain and warm weather are always our biggest enemy, but hopefully it will be short-lived and we are optimistic that cold weather will be moving in. We are offering a full refund on pond hockey registrations for teams who decide they cannot make the new date.
